We were asked by Swire to create a hardback book, to mark the 150 year anniversary of China Navigation Company. A maritime transport company who have been providing global shipping solutions since 1872. Working closely with the archival team, this book documents seminal moments throughout the company’s history; bringing together ephemera from paper-based artefacts to inscribed silverware. Our design approach to the book was curatorial, combining text and image while reflecting the company’s visual language. For previously undocumented pieces from the archive, we collaborated with photographer Katie Hammond to capture these pieces of the company’s history.
